Caring for your wood cabinets
Maple is one of the most sought after wood species used in kitchen cabinets because of it's stability, hardness, and hardware holding capacity and these features work well in your garage. Your wood garage cabinets are carefree and stain well.
How to stain your cabinets Staining your cabinets, racks and shelves should be done before they are assembled. Unfinished wood must be sanded before you stain. Sand with the grain and use at least 180 grit sandpaper until the surface is smooth to the touch.
You must remove all dust before staining cabinets. For your do it yourself cabinets we suggest an oil based stain which will take longer to dry(usually overnite) than a water based counterpart.
Once you've chosen a stain you should test it on a small hidden area like the back of your cabinets. Once dry, you can clear coat your units for even further protection against abuse.

Cleaning your cabinets couldn't be easier!
To clean the interior or exterior of your cabinets, racks, shelves and drawers use a damp cloth.
Cleaning your hardware can be done with a mild soap and water solution and then drying.
